Two Williamson County students receive scholarships from TTU

thumb AS_WillisamsonRachel Hearn of Franklin and Kara Wilson of College Grove are the 2012 recipients of scholarships from Tennessee Tech University’s College of Arts and Sciences.

Hearn, a 2012 graduate of Fred J. Page High, is the daughter of Mark and Sherry Hearn and sister of Matthew Hearn of Franklin. A freshman English major, she received the Vaden, McGill and Maxin DeBerry Scholarship.

She is a member of TTU’s National Honor Society, National Math Honor Society, and National Spanish Honor Society.

Wilson, a 2009 graduate of Page High School, is the daughter of Timmy and Tammy Wilson of College Grove. A senior biochemistry and pre-vet animal science major, she received the Howard G. Ashburn Memorial Scholarship.
