Two Williamson County students receive scholarships from TTU
Rachel Hearn of Franklin and Kara Wilson of College Grove are the 2012 recipients of scholarships from Tennessee Tech University’s College of Arts and Sciences.
Hearn, a 2012 graduate of Fred J. Page High, is the daughter of Mark and Sherry Hearn and sister of Matthew Hearn of Franklin. A freshman English major, she received the Vaden, McGill and Maxin DeBerry Scholarship.
She is a member of TTU’s National Honor Society, National Math Honor Society, and National Spanish Honor Society.
Wilson, a 2009 graduate of Page High School, is the daughter of Timmy and Tammy Wilson of College Grove. A senior biochemistry and pre-vet animal science major, she received the Howard G. Ashburn Memorial Scholarship.
