Visiting faculty display artwork at Craft Center

thumb Rimas_Vis_Girda_03Artwork in a variety of media will be on display at the Appalachian Center for Craft at Tennessee Tech University from Monday, June 18, until Friday, August 3.

Artists from across the country who have been teaching summer workshops at the Craft Center will be represented in the show in Gallery One. Functional and conceptual pieces in clay, glass, fibers, wood and mixed media will be on display.

The summer workshops are designed to accommodate all skill levels, and the visiting faculty live at the Craft Center while they are teaching. Workshops are scheduled through early August in blacksmithing, clay, fibers, glass, metals and wood. For more information about the workshops, visit www.tntech.edu/craftcenter.

The Appalachian Center for Craft is conveniently located approximately six miles from Interstate 40 at Exit 273 (Smithville/McMinnnville). Go south on Hwy. 56; turn left immediately after crossing Hurricane Bridge. This drive leads to the Craft Center.
