WHITE COUNTY STUDENT AWARDED TTU SCHOLARSHIP

Maygen Dickey, a Tennessee Tech University student from Sparta, Tenn., has been awarded the Theodore R. and Bonnie Deur Endowed Scholarship.

Dickey, a junior nursing major at Tech, was awarded for her academic excellence as part of the nursing program. In addition, she is the president of the nursing class. After graduation she plans to pursue a career in obstetrics.

Dickey, a 2007 graduate of White County High School, is the daughter of David and Stephani Hickey and Jamie Hickey and Eddie Carter of Spencer, Tenn., and the granddaughter of Lynne and Harold Hickey and Dorris Mealer of Spencer.
