Williamson County’s Ritchie wins speech and debate awards

Ryan Ritchie, of Franklin, won three awards this semester as part of Tennessee Tech University’s speech and debate team.

The freshman international business and cultures major won the third place speaker award in novice debate, fifth place as part of a two-member novice debate team and top novice award in impromptu speaking. He received all of the awards at the BBQ Capital of the World tournament at Owensboro Community and Technical College in Kentucky.

Ritchie is a graduate of Fred J. Page High School.
