Winkle’s Dot to Dot furniture exhibition at Craft Center through March 23

An exhibition of furniture by Kimberly Winkle, titled Dot to Dot, will be on display at Tennessee Tech University's Appalachian Center for Craft through Wednesday, March 23.
The furniture and furnishings featured in the exhibition, Winkle said, are a celebration of color, line and form.
"I hope to transform the common furniture format into something that is very uncommon and that displays equilibrium between function and design," Winkle said.
Gesture, rhythm and spontaneity are expressed through drawn inscriptions on the surface of the painted objects.
Winkle holds a master of fine art in furniture design from San Diego State University.
A former artist in residence at the Craft Center, she is currently a visiting faculty member in the music and art department at TTU.
The Craft Center is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
It is located approximately six miles from Interstate 40 at Exit 273. To get there, go south toward Smithville on Highway 56 and turn left immediately after crossing Hurricane Bridge.
