Wood department at TTU’s Craft Center hosts studio exhibition

thumb Wood_StudioThe wood department at the Appalachian Center for Craft at Tennessee Tech University will host its pentannual exhibition beginning Friday, Oct. 5, through Monday, Nov. 26.

Work by students, faculty and the artist in residence in the Craft Center’s wood department will be on display in Gallery Two. The show, which happens once every five years, features unique designs and slightly modified reproductions of classic furniture pieces. It illustrates the range of work produced across the department.

The galleries at the Craft Center are open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and are free and open to the public.

The Appalachian Center for Craft is conveniently located approximately six miles from Interstate 40 at exit 273 (Smithville/McMinnville). Go south on Hwy. 56; turn left immediate after crossing Hurricane Bridge. This drive leads to the Craft Center.
