Awesome Office Competition Rules

Show your TTU Pride by decorating your office during Pride Days and earn a chance to win prizes. Awesome Office Contest Offers New Prizes by Chartwells.

The friendly competition will help you make a great first impression on new students who visit your office and help everyone on campus see your spirit.

To make it easier for everyone to get involved no matter what size office you work in, one winner will be chosen from each of three categories:

  • Large Office = 10 or more employees
  • Small Office = fewer than 10 employees with no division in duties
  • Door Decoration = any number of employees, but only one prize awarded

(Note: Offices with divisions -- for example, the Business Office with its separate divisions organized by duties --should enter as individual offices. These divisions will not have to compete with the larger office as a whole).

A few simple rules:

You must officially enter the contest by sending the following information to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it in Dining Services or call 3204. Judging will Begin August 27 at 9 a.m.

  • Name of Office
  • Office contact person
  • Office Location
  • Phone number
  • E-mail address

A reply e-mail will verify your entry.

  • You may begin decorating at anytime after the contest is posted. Many offices want to welcome new students with their decorations; others want to have their student workers participate. Choose what is best for your office.
  • This contest is meant to demonstrate spirit, not financial resources. If you wish to purchase items for the contest, there is a limit of $20 per entry; however, our hope is that you spend no money at all.
  • Use items that are donated or that are already available in your office. You may use Pride Gear distributed by the university, but higher scores will be given for "ORIGINAL decorations and themes."
  • Consider your staff as part of the decorating theme, that is, encourage them to wear items that demonstrate TTU Pride.
  • Be creative, but be careful. Don’t cause fire hazards. Any entry found to be a fire hazard will be disqualified.
  • Decorations must be temporary additions. Permanent changes, including painting walls and other surfaces, are not permitted.

Contest judging will take place from 9 a.m to noon on August 27th. Requests for specific time-periods will be taken on a first come, first served basis.
