COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (Aug. 27, 2003) — The 2003 Autumn Bacchanal is
more than a celebration of fine art and craft, wine and gourmet food —
it also raises scholarship funds for Tennessee Tech University’s
art students.
Bacchanal 2003 is set for Sunday, Oct. 12, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Spankies
Restaurant in Cookeville, located just off TTU’s campus at 203 E.
9th St.
The Bacchanal begins with a delectable cocktail buffet and an extensive
selection of wines and beers. The live auction of art and fine craft will
begin at 2:30 p.m. and will consist of original works donated by TTU and
Appalachian Center for Craft art faculty, resident artists, students,
alumni and regional artists.
Admission for the event is $25 per person if purchased before Friday,
Oct. 8, and $30 at the door. Each guest receives a commemorative wineglass
in appreciation for supporting the Bacchanal Scholarships.
For information and reservations, call Candace Osteen in TTU’s
Music and Art Department at 931/372-3161 or e-mail her at costeen@tntech.edu.
