COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (June 16, 2003) Tracey Duncan has been named
Tennessee Tech University's director of Corporate and Foundation Relations.
As a graduate, alumnus, and faculty member's daughter, Duncan returned
to the university in September 2001 when she was appointed director of
Alumni Relations. Recently, her background in sales and marketing became
important to fund-raising for the university, in light of the recent budget
cuts to higher education statewide. In the newly-created position of director
of Corporate and Foundation Relations, Duncan will be responsible for
fund-raising and maintaining relationships with all Tennessee Tech corporate
and foundation donors and supporters.
One of her primary responsibilities for the immediate future will be to
support the TTU School of Nursing and its efforts to build a new health
facility on the campus.
Duncan's community involvement includes serving as the recently-elected
president of the Cookeville chapter of Business and Professional Women
(BPW) and a member of the Leadership Putnam Alumni Association. She lives
in Cookeville with her husband, Jeff, and children Delaney and Drew.
Duncan can be reached at 372-6091 or tduncan@tntech.edu. The new coordinator
for Alumni Relations is former assistant director Beth Smith.
