COOKEVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee Tech University's 27th annual Parents
and Family Day is set for Saturday, Sept. 27. The event offers family
members and friends of TTU students a chance to visit the campus and enjoy
an autumn day of fun, food and football.
Lunch will be served in the cafeteria between 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Family
members may use students’ flex dollars to pay for lunch, or pay
$5.50 (plus tax) in cash at the door. Various times throughout the day
student organizations are invited to host open houses for visiting family
members. Residence halls will hold open houses from 11:30 a.m. –
1:30 p.m.
And at 2 p.m., the Golden Eagles football team hosts Murray State, last
season's OVC co-champions. Football tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for
youth and senior citizens. TTU STUDENTS ARE ADMITTED FREE TO THE GAME
WITH A VALID TTU STUDENT ID. Call 372-3940 to reserve family game tickets.
Ticket requests received prior to Sept. 18 will be mailed. Other tickets
may be picked up at the Information Center on the main floor of the University
Center between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. the day of the game. After 1 p.m. the
tickets may be picked up at the ticket booth on the east side of Tucker
Stadium.
