COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (March 26, 2004) -- The 48th Annual Statewide Mathematics
Contest, sponsored by the Tennessee Mathematics Teachers Association,
will be held on Tuesday, April 20. The TTU Mathematics Department will
serve as the testing center for the event.
The mathematics contest is open to all students who have been enrolled
in at least one class of Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Statistics, Precalculus
or Calculus during the current year. Currently, 71 Middle Tennessee schools
have been invited to bring their students to Tennessee Tech for the contest.
Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the lobby of TTUs Bruner
Hall, and snacks will be provided. Students will report to the appropriate
rooms for testing at 9:20 a.m. Awards will be presented at 1 p.m. in TTUs
Derryberry Auditorium.
