COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (December 10, 2004) — Tennessee Tech University
President Bob Bell (second from left) and other members of the TTU executive
advisory committee and Tennessee Board of Regents met recently with members
of the state legislature to discuss issues of importance to Tennessee
Tech and higher education throughout the state. The meeting included open
discussions about Tennessee Tech’s vision and priorities in the
coming years as well as state funding. Among those at the meeting were,
from left, TBR Chancellor Charles Manning; Bell; Sen. Charlotte Burks,
who also serves as secretary on the Senate Education Committee; Rep. Jere
Hargrove, chair of the House Commerce Committee; TBR Vice Chancellor David
Gregory; and TBR Regent Noble Cody. Also at the meeting was Rep. Les Winningham,
