COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (Nov. 19, 2004) — This year’s fine craft sale
by members of the Visual Arts Society student organization at Tennessee
Tech University will feature pieces such as pillows by Kelli McCurdy and
a cream and sugar set by Anderson Bailey. The event is set for 1 to 6
p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 2, and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 3, in the
Tech Pride Room of the Roaden University Center. Art students who contribute
pieces to the sale bill it as a great way to stock up on one-of-a-kind
gifts for the holidays. At the same time, it raises funds for the university
to host visiting artists and provide travel expenses for students to attend
national and professional conferences. Types of craft that will be featured
include blown glass, pottery, fine jewelry, textiles and more.
