COOKEVILLE (Nov. 4, 2004) — Last night’s Vince Gill concert
sponsored by First National Bank raised more than $135,000 for Tennessee
Tech University’s School of Nursing building campaign. The performance,
at TTU’s Hooper Eblen Center, featured rising Sony recording artist
Susan Haynes as the opening act. And joining Gill as a member of the band
was Dan Tyminski, best known for his song “Man of Constant Sorrow,”
which he sang for the crowd. Gill performed many of his best-known songs
and several new ones from recent albums. First National Bank employees
served as volunteer ushers. Gill donated his performance, and First National
Bank covered all associated costs to ensure that every dollar of every
ticket sold went to the nursing campaign. Photo: TTU.
