COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (Sept. 16, 2004) – An exhibit of beaded jewelry, wall hangings and more by the Cumberland Valley Bead Society and entitled "Big Beads, Little Beads, A World of Beads" will be on display through Friday, Oct. 15, in the North Windows Gallery of the Appalachian Center for Craft. The Cumberland Valley Bead Society, formed in 1997, represents a group of regional artists sharing a fascination with beads and beadwork. The exhibition includes loom and off-loom weaving techniques, fine wire working, precious metal clay beads, and hand-made glass beads. Get drawn into a delicate, intricate crystalline world of glass beads. The works range from whimsical to serious detailed functional and conceptual work. This is an amazing collection of labor-intensive beadwork – an exhibition not to be missed. The Craft Center is conveniently located six miles off Interstate 40
