COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (Sept. 10, 2004) — No one has covered the area business scene more thoroughly than Tennessee Tech University marketing professor Don Weinrauch, who will launch the 12th season of the television series “Upper Cumberland Business Profiles” tonight.

Weinrauch will open the 30-show season with Bob Gunter, executive director of Premier Diagnostic, at 8:30 p.m. on WCTE-TV. The creator and original producer of the show, Weinrauch nurtured the pilot 10 shows into 12 seasons and hundreds of interviews with area business and industry leaders concerning their successes and latest business trends.

“Don is a wonderful interviewer,” said Donna Castle, WCTE program and promotions manager. “He doesn’t try to become the expert on the topic, he allows his guests to explain and discuss what they know best, their own businesses. We are grateful Don offers his time and talent to us.”

Upper Cumberland Business Profiles airs each Friday evening at 8:30 and repeats the following Sunday at 1 p.m. during September through May. The series is taped on location at the Leslie Town Centre.

WCTE also announced the lineup for the next three shows to air:

Sept. 17 — Danny Langford of Multipro

Sept. 24 — Woody Davis of Averitt Express

Oct. 1 — Steve Copeland of Cumberland Insurance Group.
