Tenn. (Jan. 24, 2005) — Robert Jager, right, Tennessee Tech University
emeritus music professor, presents TTU band director Joe Hermann with a
copy of “Composers on Composing for Band, Volume Two,” compiled
and edited by Mark Camphouse, composer and band director at Radford University
in Virginia. Jager is one of 10 different composers featured in the book,
which explores their musical composition experiences and focuses on how
the composers’ creative processes led to their current works. Each
composer discusses some details of their experiences, ranging from score
study to orchestration and early compositional music to the future of music.
