COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (Nov. 11, 2005) – Tennessee Tech University bachelor
of fine arts student Rush Skinnell will present his thesis exhibit Nov.
15-19 in the North Windows Gallery of the Appalachian Center for Craft
from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
His exhibit, entitled “Future Relics: Amulets for the Coming Space
Age,” reveals contemporary, forward-thinking jewelry in a non-fashion
light, but in a futuristic light.
The message sent by these pieces is of the search for truth and direction
in the age of technology and our increasing dependence upon it.
The Appalachian Center for Craft is located approximately six miles from
I-40 at exit 273. Go south on Hwy. 56 and turn left immediately after
crossing Hurricane Bridge.
