COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (Jan. 27, 2006) – Celebrate Valentine’s
day at Tennessee Tech University, when Frederick Kennedy presents a faculty
tenor voice recital at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 14, in the Wattenbarger
Auditorium of the Bryan Fine Arts Building.
Works to be performed include compositions by Vaughn Williams, Richard
Strauss and Jules Massenet.
Kennedy will be accompanied by Henri Venanzi on piano, and performances
of the Vaughn Williams compositions will include accompaniment by faculty
violist Seanad Chang.
Also included in the program will be several works by lesser known composers,
such as Benjamin Carr, a 19th century American composer, and Louis Moreau
Gottschalk, recognized for his piano compositions.
The recital is set to conclude with works by Brazilian composer Heitor
Villa-Lobos.
