COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (March 31, 2006) - Up and coming soprano artist Adrienne
Danrich will come to Tennessee Tech University’s Wattenbarger Auditorium
for a performance Thursday, April 6, at 7:30 p.m. She will also hold a
master class at 11 a.m.
Based in New York, Danrich has been declared as a future world-renowned
soprano singer with a voice simultaneously unique and beautiful. Included
in the program will be works by Giuseppe Verdi, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Francis
Poulenc and Ricky Ian Gordon. Accompanying her will be pianist Tyson Deaton.
Danrich is an alumna of Eastman School of Music and the University of
Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. She has vocalized some of the
most respected works in the world, including works by Beethoven, Mozart
and Vivaldi. Her soloist debut came at Carnegie Hall, as she performed
Beethoven’s "Mass in C" and Mozart’s "Mass
in G."
Danrich’s debut in Europe garnered her as the Concerto Competition
winner for her soloist performance in Mozart’s “Requiem,”
in Lisbon, Portugal. She will soon make her stage debut as Micaela in
Bizet’s opera, “Carmen.”
Deaton’s ability to both collaborate and coach opera and recital
literature has quickly put him at the top of the list for artists looking
for a collaborative pianist. He has served as a vocal coach and assistant
conductor in different venues, including the University of Cincinnati
College-Conservatory of Music. Deaton has coached multiple genres of opera
and art song literature, from baroque to contemporary.
The performance is a Center Stage event and will be free and open to
the public.
