VAS sale set for Nov. 30, Dec. 1  

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (Nov. 13, 2006) – ‘Tis the season for the annual holiday art and fine craft sale presented by Tennessee Tech University’s Visual Art Society, a student art organization.

It’s set for 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 30, and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 1, in the Joan Derryberry Gallery, located on the first floor of TTU’s Roaden University Center.

“Proceeds from the event help raise funds for art students to attend national conferences, host visiting artists and gain professional presentation experience,” said Cara Young, VAS president.

The sale will feature blown glasswork, hand-made pottery, fine jewelry, textiles and more.

“So say seasons greetings this holiday with one-of-a-kind gifts and shop TTU’s Visual Art Society sale,” Young said.
