COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (Oct. 3, 2006) –- The Indian Association of Cookeville
will host its Diwali Night 2006 celebration on Saturday, Oct. 7, at 6
p.m. in the Multipurpose Room of Tennessee Tech University’s Roaden
University Center.
Diwali, which is referred to as the “Festival of Lights,”
is characterized by rows of lighted lamps.
The program will consist of a dinner of traditional Indian foods and
cultural programs such as music and folk dancing.
Ticket prices are $10, and they must be purchased prior to the event.
