Two area high school students win Who Wants to be a Mathematician competition  

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (Sept. 27, 2006) — Two area high school students, center, Will Pickering of the McCallie School in Chattanooga and, right, John Cooper of Oak Ridge High School, each won $2,000 and Texas Instruments graphing calculators recently at the Who Wants to Be a Mathematician competition presented by the American Mathematical Society and held at Tennessee Tech University.
