TTU regular concert schedule gets temporary change of venue

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (Aug. 16, 2007) — A group of Tennessee Tech University facilities employees and movers from Steinway Piano Gallery of Nashville, in the photo above at right, haul a piano from Wattenbarger Auditorium to its temporary location on the Derryberry Hall Auditorium stage, while, in the picture below at right, protective coverings and rollers are removed for final positioning of the instrument. Most TTU concerts and recitals regularly scheduled for Wattenbarger Auditorium will be presented in Derryberry Hall through mid-October. A $600,000 renovation — with combined funds from the Tennessee Board of Regents and TTU’s technology access fee — is underway to update Wattenbarger Auditorium’s lighting and audio-visual capabilities.
