TTU, Farm Bureau bring agriculture to first graders  
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (April 26, 2007) — Farm Bureau’s Bryan Street gives a presentation about the evolution of crop cultivation to a group of first graders from Monterey’s Uffelman Elementary School and their families in the photo above. State Farm recently teamed up with Tennessee Tech University to host the annual Ag in the Classroom event at Hyder-Burks Agriculture Pavilion. The event introduces first graders to all aspects of agriculture, and more than 1,000 students representing all Putnam County schools attended.
