| COOKEVILLE,
Tenn. (April 26, 2007) — On campus recently to pick up bookmarks made
by Tennessee Tech University human ecology students for their schools’
Accelerating Reader programs were, from left in the photo above, Nicole
Anderson of Prescott Central Middle School and Trey Binkley, Layne Shockley
and Blake Miller, all of Spencer Elementary School. In the photo below,
TTU student Janette Norwood makes a bookmark. The craft has been a yearlong
service project for the Tennessee Tech Association of Family and Consumer
Sciences, of which Norwood is vice president. The TTU group made more than
700 bookmarks for all preK-5th grade students attending Spencer Elementary
School and 6th grade students at Prescott Central Middle School who participated
in the Accelerating Reading program this year. Photo: TTU
