COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (Jan. 25, 2008) — James Campbell will present
a guest clarinet concert on Monday, Jan. 28, at 7:30 p.m. in Tennessee
Tech’s Wattenbarger Auditorium.
Pianist Leopoldo Erice will accompany Campbell.
Called “Canada’s pre-eminent clarinetist and wind soloist”
by the Toronto Star, Campbell has performed solo and chamber music concerts
in 25 countries and has been soloist with more than 60 orchestras, including
the Boston Pops, the London Symphony, the Russian Philharmonic, and the
Montreal Symphony.
Campbell has been a professor of music at Indiana University since 1988
and artistic director of the Festival of the Sound since 1985.
Erice has won several prizes in various prestigious national competitions.
This is a Center Stage event and is free and open to the public.
