COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (Jan. 15, 2008) — A flute recital by Tennessee
Tech University alumna Angela McCuiston is set for Thursday, Jan. 24,
at 7:30 p.m. in Wattenbarger Auditorium. Admission is free, and the recital
is open to the public.
McCuiston will be accompanied by Paul Thurmond, and her program will
include flute and piccolo pieces by Mike Mower, Stephen Grye and Telemann.
She will also be playing a duet with her former teacher and TTU flute
professor Roger Martin.
She graduated in 2003 with a performance degree in flute and recently
earned her master’s degree from Florida State University. McCuiston
now resides with her husband in Panama City, Fla., where she is a member
of several orchestras and is a freelance teacher in the area.
