David T. Hannon will present an exhibit in oil painting and surrealist landscapes March 10 through April 4 in the Joan Derryberry Art Gallery. He will present a gallery talk and reception on April 3, at 4:30 p.m. Hannon has a BFA in illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design and a MFA in Painting from Indiana University. He is currently an assistant professor of painting at Ball State University. Hannon's oil on canvas paintings have been exhibited around the country.

TTU Music
There will be a Bryan Symphony Orchestra Concert on Sunday, March 16, at 3 p.m.

There will be a studio flute recital on Monday, March 17, at 7 p.m.
Roy Adams and Kyle Chaulk will present a student recital on Monday, March 17, at 8:30 p.m.

A choral concert will be held on Tuesday, March 18, at 7:30 p.m.

Bethany Green and Hannah Shoopman will present a student recital on Wednesday, March 19, at 7:30 p.m.
The Chamber Music Night will be held on Thursday, March 20, at 7:30 p.m.

Appalachian Center for Craft
David Collins will present a mixed media teapots exhibit, entitled, “Functility T’s Three’ Feb. 21 through March 28 in Gallery One.
The annual Artist in Residence exhibition, featuring a variety of craft media, will be held Feb. 28 through April 8 in Gallery Two.

Jim Clark presentation March 18
Writer and musician Jim Clark will present an evening of songs (traditional and original), poetry, folklore and history on Tuesday, March 18, at 7:30 p.m. in Derryberry Hall Auditorium.

Quilting presentation March 18
Bonnie Askowitz, an artist and quilt maker based in Miami, will offer a slide presentation on Tuesday, March 18, at 11 a.m. in the Tech Pride Room and 6 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room that she describes as "quilts of personal expression as well as feminist and political quilts.”

Multicultural experience on March 19
One World of TTU will be hosting a night of Indian food and Salsa dancing on Wednesday, March 19, at 6 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room of the RUC. There will be free Indian food and attendees can learn to Salsa dance with instructor Luisa Groundland.

“There Never Was A Good War” film series continues on March 19
The International Film Series “There Never Was A Good War” Film #2 of 4—Die Falschung-Circle of Deceit will be shown on Wednesday, March 19, at 7 p.m. in Johnson Hall Auditorium. The film renders both the lethal chaos of urban warfare and the moral tug-of-war of modern Mid-East politics with equally sensitive precision.

The Appalachian Center for Craft is located six miles off Hwy. 56 (Interstate 40, Exit 273) near Smithville. Hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. The Joan Derryberry Art Gallery is located on the first floor of the University Center and is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
