Teaching/Learning Enhancement Grants to Support the QEP
General Instructions
Faculty/staff may apply for grants to implement new ideas in their classroom or on campus that are focused on the QEP topic. Individual or joint proposals are welcome. There is a $3000 limit on each proposal. Proposals are submitted through the online application system (Submit Application). General Proposal Requirements
The proposal must be for a new idea that you are not already using.
The proposal must have clearly observable effects that demonstrate progress on the University's QEP.
The proposal must be for a project that will be implemented during the 2007 - 2008 academic year.
The proposal must include a detailed budget and budget explanation (insert in the action plan section).
Using the Online QEP Proposal Entry System
Login to Online System (also see login problems at bottom of page)
Click on Submit an Application. You will be asked for a username and password for the TTU Domain.
Username: = Full TTU email address (e.g., jsmart@tntech.edu)
Password:
- If you receive your mail through the new Exchange Server, your password will be the same as your email password.
- If you are not on the Exchange Server, your password for the TTU Domain may not be the same as your TTU email account. If you know your TTU domain password simply enter it when requested. If you do not know what it is follow the instructions below.
- Call ITS Operations (3388) and ask them to reset your TTU Domain password to your social security number.
- Click on the link below and change the default password (SS#) to something else (use your regular email password to keep it simple).
Timeout Function
As a security measure you will be automatically timed-out after 20 minutes. The timer appears on the bottom of the screen. Submit your proposal before 20 minutes to save it. You can go back and edit your proposal at any time.

Entering Information
This is the screen you will see when you enter a new proposal. Enter information in each field and click submit to save your work. See example proposal for an illustration of the information expected in each field.
Login to Online System Problems
If you are using Windows 2000 and you are asked for a Domain (in addition to username and password) follow the instructions below.
Username = TTU email address without @....and what follows (e.g., jsmart)
Password = TTU Domain Password (see explanation above)
Domain = TTU
