• TTU is AGAIN ranked among the “Top Public Universities” by U.S. News & World Report.
  The magazine ranked TTU one of the Top Public Universities in the South in its 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 America's Best Colleges Guides. This year TTU is one of the Top 10 Public Universities in the South.

• TTU is ranked a "Best Southeastern College" by The Princeton Review for 2009.
  This is the fifth consecutive year the publication has recognized TTU in the rankings. To qualify for inclusion, each school must meet standards for academic excellence and allow its students to participate in anonymous surveys to provide opinion-driven profiles.Of 17 schools listed for all of Tennessee, TTU remains one of only four public universities to earn the designation.

• TTU is AGAIN named a "Best Value College" by The Princeton Review.
  Top quality academics, low cost and exceptional financial aid service have earned TTU a spot in the 2007 and 2008 America's Best Value Colleges guidebooks published by the Princeton Review and Random House.

• TTU enrollment continues to reach record levels.
  Student enrollment has reached record numbers every year for the past eight years. Student headcount for Fall 2008 is 10,793.

• TTU value is reflected in tuition and fees.
  TTU's average annual tuition and fees, at $4,562 for 2007, are lower than the average of all Tennessee Higher Education Commission public universities, Tennessee Board of Regents universities and Ohio Valley Conference universities.

• Tennessee Tech graduates the highest percentage of students.
  TTU’s persistence to graduation rate of 49% is higher than the average of all Tennessee Higher Education Commission public universities, Tennessee Board of Regents universities and Ohio Valley Conference universities. The six-year graduation rate is for first-time, full-time freshmen who enrolled in Fall 2000.

• TTU’s engineers enjoy top reputations in industry.
  TTU engineering and technology graduates were recognized by 99% of respondents in a recent survey of employers as "excellent employees," and they're recognized by co-op employers as having strong education, technical skills and work ethic. And they have the ability to learn new skills and process information on the job.

• TTU's education graduates have the 21st century in hand.
  The College of Education is home to a state-of-the-art center for technology and media production, multi-media classrooms, and the most innovative doctoral program in Tennessee. 97% of our education graduates pass the Praxis licensure exam. Education classes are available through several off-campus efforts including 2 + 2 expansion programs. Additionally, the College houses the Bryan Symphony Orchestra, the Appalachian Center for Craft, and the Child Development Lab – all highly rated in their fields.

• TTU's nursing graduates continue to make a difference.
  Recent graduates of TTU's nursing program are employed coast to coast across the nation and around the world. Employers say TTU nurses are "in demand" and greatly sought after for their practical skills and comprehensive preparation. To meet the growing need for nurses, a 65,500 square foot, state-of-the-art building is under construction and scheduled for occupancy in fall 2008.

• TTU's agriculture/human ecology students lead the way, study in style.
  Seven TTU agriculture/human ecology students hold state or national offices in premier organizations in their fields. In 2004, the School of Human Ecology completed a $100,000+ upgrade of its Housing and Design Studio, making it a state-of-the-art facility for computer aided drafting.

• TTU's College of Business offers quality and affordability.
  The College of Business was included in Peterson's publication of The 237 Best Business Schools in the World, based on the quality of programs and survey feedback from students. The Distance MBA program was recognized as the 7th Best Buy for Online MBA Programs in the nation by geteducated.com. The recognition was based on program quality and in-state tuition fees.

• TTU's arts and sciences graduates bring learning to life.
  The CAS fosters intellectual drive, curiosity, breadth of perspective, and technological expertise — traits of leaders and professionals. The proof is in our alumni, which include the director of the U.S. Trade and Development Agency; an astronaut; a retired senior vp of a major pharmaceutical corporation; a retired editor of the New York Times; the CEO of a national restaurant chain; a pioneer of cancer research and inventor of Seldane; the deputy director of NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center; a recipient of China's Agricultural Medal for Aquacultural Research; the President of the Tennessee Medical Association; Tennessee state representatives and a deputy governor; an author and international business consultant; a bank president; a political lobbyist; and many physicians, lawyers, and university professors.

• TTU's athletic programs are among the best in the Ohio Valley Conference.
  TTU teams have won 19 OVC championships in the past six years, including three in 2005-2006 by the women's basketball, softball and men's tennis squads. In the past 10 years, eight of Tech's 16 teams have advanced to post-season competition, including the men's basketball team, which appeared in the 2002 National Invitation Tournament, reaching the quarterfinals.

• TTU's alumni are world-class leaders.
  Among TTU graduates are the former president of Boeing, a two-time space shuttle astronaut, a retired New York Times assistant managing editor, a four-star general, a country music superstar and more.
