To Get an OFFICIAL
Copy of Your Transcript
Tennessee Tech can only mail official copies of
transcripts to third parties (i.e., employer, other universities,
etc.)
If you have a Tennessee Tech email account, you
can request an official copy of your transcript without having
to furnish your written signature. The Records Office clerks'
email addresses can be found in the Staff
Directory under Records Section.
Include your name, social security number and the address(es)
where you want us to mail your transcript.
If you do not have a Tennessee Tech email account,
your signature is required. You can come by the office at 102
Derryberry Hall and fill out a form or, if you're not in the area,
write us a letter, and include your name, social security number,
the address(es) where you want us to mail your transcript and
your signature. Fax your request to (931) 372-6111 or mail it
to Tennessee Tech Records Office, P. O. Box 5026, Cookeville,
TN 38505.
To Get an UNOFFICIAL
Copy of Your Transcript
If you need an unofficial copy of
your transcript mailed to your home address, your signature
is not required. You can either call TTU's Records Office at
(931) 372-3317 or e-mail your request (the Records Office clerks'
e-mail addresses can be found in the Staff
Directory under Records Section); or, use Eagle
Online. First, choose "Registration, Grades, Student
Services, bill Payment, Financial Aid Information." Next,
you will need to type in your social security number and your
six-digit PIN. Choose "Request a Mailed Transcript,"
under "Student Records." This option is ONLY available
for currently enrolled students and alumni who graduated during
the time frame of 1986 summer term through the current term.
The Number of Transcripts You Can Request
There is no limit on the number of transcripts a
student may request.
The Difference Between an "Official
Copy" and a "Student Copy" of a Transcript
An official copy of your transcript is printed on
security paper. Test scores, such as ACT, NTE, etc. will not
be printed on the official copy.
A student copy of your transcript has "Issued
to Student" stamped in red ink on regular white paper. Test
scores, such as ACT, NTE, etc. will be printed
on the unofficial copy.
Official copies of transcripts are usually required
by other universities and some prospective employers.
If You Need an "Official Copy"
Mailed in a Sealed Envelope
You can request a "Student Official Copy"
of your transcript without having to furnish your signature. Your
transcript will be copied on security paper, but it will also
have "Issued to Student" stamped on it.
Transcript Charges
There is no charge for your transcript; however,
any payments received will be used to support the Educational
and General Operation of the University. Any money you owe to
the University must be paid before we can release your transcript.
To Access Your Grades Online
Students may view and/or print a copy of semester

Online Information System. To access your student

Bill Payment, Financial Aid Information" and login using
your Student ID and 6-digit PIN. You may contact the Office of
Records and Registration at 372-3317 for more information.
