Policy for the Protection of Human Subjects | Policy 13.0
TRAINING::
Background
The Institutional Review Committee for the Protection of Human Subjects serves as the review board in accordance with the requirements for the protection of human subjects as set forth by the regulations created by Congress (Code of Federal Regulations, Title 45, Part 46). The committee is composed of faculty, administrators, and persons not affiliated with the University. It reports to the Administrative Council.
Policy
The use of human subjects in any experimental environment, whether it be research (funded or non-funded) or other scholarly activities such as surveys, questionnaires, and classroom experiences, must be reviewed, and the use of human subjects as set forth in the proposed activity plan must be approved by the committee.
Implementation
