Housing Applications
HOW TO APPLY TO THE RESIDENCE HALLS OR TECH VILLAGE APARTMENTS - INFORMATION NEEDED:
ALL POTENTIAL RESIDENTS WILL NEED TO BE ADMITTED TO THE UNIVERSITY BEFORE APPLYING FOR HOUSING:
- If you ARE NOT admitted to the University, you will not have the ability to gain access to the online housing application portal below.
- If you ARE admittedto the University, you will need two important pieces of information gained or resolved before applying for housing.
- You will need your Tech ID Number (T-Number)
- You will need to set up your email account. Your email account (@students.tntech.edu) is given to you once you are ADMITTED. Once you have your email account, you will need to activate and set it up properly. Please visit HERE for instructions on how to setup your TTU email account.
- Once you have your Tech ID Number (T-Number) and your email account set up properly, you can then go to our ONLINE HOUSING APPLICATION PORTAL page.
- On the application page, in the account login box, please enter your Tech ID Number (T-Number) in the Student Number block and click "Forgot Housing Password?" and your housing password immediately will be sent to your tech email address (@students.tntech.edu). You can login to your email at the following address: https://www.tntech.edu/studentemail/home.
- Once you have retrieved your housing password, come back to the online portal page and enter your T-Number in the Student Number block and your password in the Housing Password block and click Log In and you should gain access.

DISABILITY HOUSING REQUEST:

Do you have a physical disability or condition warranting special consideration in making your assignment? If YES, students requesting disability housing accomodations MUST register with the Office of Disability Services before housing accomodations may be provided. You must submit or complete the following information:

Complete a housing application and submit $100 prepayment as all students do

Additionally, you will also need to complete any necessary paperwork and/or procedures that the Office of Disability Services requires of you. You can visit their website HERE.

You understand that by submitting your application, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to comply with the Guide for Successful Living and the On-Campus Housing Agreement. If you would like to view the different options for the halls, please click here: Residence Halls.

Sophomores can now live in Tech Village. If you are an upcoming sophomore and want to try to get into Tech Village, you must apply to both the Residence Halls and Tech Village Apartments since spaces are not guaranteed in the apartments. Completing the residence hall application will give you a fall back option and help take care of any housing hold you may have because of the residency requirement here at Tech. Then if you get into Tech Village, we will cancel your halls application as the Tech Village application will take priority. Anyone of Junior status or above should not have a housing hold and can apply to Tech Village without a halls application.

SUMMER HOUSING:

Summer school housing is provided if needed.

Our summer school residence hall is Jobe Hall and is subject to change if needed. MS Cooper/Pinkerton Halls are usually the summer residence halls but are currently being renovated.

Applications for summer housing in the halls will be made available via the portal each March 1st for the following summer semester/terms.

HONORS HOUSING:

The Honors Department decides who is placed in Murphy Hall, decides roommate matching, and decides room assignments and then the names are provided to our department for placing into the system. If you are interested in living in the Honors Hall (Murphy Hall) during the academic year (not available during summer), you must meet the correct criteria from the Honors Department and complete the following:

Complete a housing application and submit $100 prepayment as all students do.

TECH VILLAGE APARTMENTS INFORMATION:

IMPORTANT INFORMATION/AGREEMENT FOR LIVING IN TECH VILLAGE APARTMENTS:

You understand that by submitting your application, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to comply with the Guide to Apartment Living and the Tech Village Housing Agreement.

Only persons eligible for Tech Village should apply for Tech Village. Please refer to the Tech Village Housing Agreement for all eligibility requirements/policies.

If you are eligible and receive a Tech Village apartment, your residence hall application will be terminated OR if you live in the halls when you receive your apartment all charges will be prorated accordingly.
