Office Ergonomics-Computer Monitors
NECK
The neck is most often impacted by an incorrectly positioned monitor or cradling keeping your phone between your head and shoulder.
A properly positioned monitor will be straight in front of you and the top of it will be just below eye level. Often workers will place the monitor so that the middle of the screen is in line with your eyes. This causes the muscles in your neck to constantly be contracted to keep your head tilted back to that position which results in chronic muscle strain. The optimal office setup will have the top of monitor at eye level and will be a comfortable distance from the user so that they are not having to move closer to view the information on the monitor.Department Links
