Storm Water management
Tennessee Tech has applied for a General Permit for storm water managment under the Tennessee Water Quality Control Act as authorized by the United States Environmental Protection Agency, Clean Water Act. This permit requires recieptients to undertake efforts that will reduce/ improve runoff during rain events. Ultimately, institutions are required to implement measures that will retain a minimum of the first inch of stormwater events while reducing 80% of the Total Suspended Solids.
