Art - New Student

The Bacchanal Scholarship also requires submission of the following from art studio applicants:
  • Cover Letter
  • Resume
  • A CD containing 5 images of the applicant's work.  Images must be JPEG files, with the title extension ".jpg" only.  Do not put the images in a Powerpoint file, an iPhoto library, or any other presentation or archive format.  List each JPEG image with a number.  (For example:  JaneDoe #1.jpg).  Images must be sized at the pixel dimensions of 1024 Wide x 768 High (or a horizontal image 1024 Wide by XXX High, or a vertical image XXX Wide by 768 High, if your image dimensions vary).  Include an information sheet that lists each corresponding image #, title of piece, medium, dimensions, and date work was completed.  Please type your name at the top of the page.
  • A written statement that discusses the work represented in the images.  Write about the ideas behind the work and the technical accomplishments.  Statements must be 100-500 words, typed and double-spaced.
  • Submit all materials in a brown manila envelope.
  • Craft Center students should submit all supporting materials to Kathie McGlamery, Appalachian Center for Craft, Box 5106, Cookeville, TN 38505.  Campus art students should submit all supporting materials to Dr. Patricia Coleman, Box 5045, Cookeville, TN 38505.

  • Written philosophy of Art Education that includes educational goals while at TTU
  • Sample lesson plan(s)
  • Portfolio of five pieces of artwork.  Follow instructions for BFA studio applicants listed above.

The Windgate Scholarship also requires submission of the following: 

  • Cover Letter

The Nichols Freshman Art Scholarship also requires submission of the following: 

  • 3 letters of recommendation
