Admissions & Departmental Scholarships
All students who apply for admission and scholarships by December 15, 2011 will be considered for the following Admissions Scholarships for 2012-2013. These scholarships are guaranteed only to the extent that necessary funding is available. If funding is unavailable to support all scholarship programs listed below, priority will be given to students who qualify for the University Academic Service Scholarship program.
University Academic Service Scholarship

This scholarship is for graduates of a Tennessee high school and is renewable for three additional years if the student maintains 12 credit hours each semester with a 3.0 cumulative GPA and completes 75 hours of university service.
Vice Presidents' Scholarship (Residential Scholarship)

This scholarship is for graduates of a Tennessee high school and is renewable for three additional years as long as the student maintains 12 credit hours each semester with a 3.0 cumulative GPA and completes 75 hours of university service each semester. This scholarship is applied to a student's residence hall fees and is only renewable if the student continues to live in a residence hall.
Admissions Academic Service Scholarship

This scholarship is for graduates of a Tennessee high school and is renewable for three additional years as long as the student maintains 12 credit hours each semester with a 3.0 cumulative GPA and completes 25 hours of university service each semester.
Alumni Legacy Service Scholarship (In-State Alumni Parent)

This scholarship is awarded to a Tennessee high school graduate whose parent, grand-parent, or step-parent graduated from TTU. It is renewable for three additional years if the student maintains 12 credit hours each semester with a 3.0 cumulative GPA and completes 25 hours of service.
Golden Eagle Excellence Scholarship

These competitive scholarships are awarded to Tennessee high school graduates to increase academic quality and diversity which enriches the educational experience and promotes quality education for our campus. These awards are made to underrepresented groups as defined in our Scholarship Recruitment Plan. Leadership Scholarship

This scholarship will be awarded to a limited number of entering freshmen who have demonstrated outstanding leadership potential.

Community College Transfer Scholarship
| $2,500 per year | 3.5 community college GPA after sophomore year or 60+ hours |
This scholarship is awarded to students who are recipients of the Tennessee Board of Regents Academic Service or Presidential Scholarship at their Tennessee community college. It is renewable if the student maintains 12 credit hours each semester with a 3.0 cumulative GPA and completes 75 hours of service.
Transfer Honors Scholarship

Tennessee Tech offers 2 $2,500 scholarships to students from each of the following community colleges: Chattanooga State Technical Community College, Cleveland State Community College, Columbia State Community College, Jackson State Community College, Motlow State Community College, Nashville State Community College, Northeast State Technical Community College, Pellissippi State Technical Community College, Roane State Community College, Volunteer State Community College, and Walters State Community College. The President of each community college will nominate 2 students for the scholarship. This scholarship is renewable if the student maintains 12 credit hours each semester with a 3.0 cumulative GPA and completes 75 hours of service.
Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
| $3,000 per year | 3.0 community college GPA after sophomore year or 60+ hours |
Tennessee Tech offers 2 scholarships to the two community college transfer students who have the highest academic credentials and maintain full membership to Phi Theta Kappa. A letter of recommendation from a Phi Theta Kappa advisor is recommended for scholarship consideration. Students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and an A.A., A.S., or A.A.S. degree or 60 or more credit hours. The scholarship is renewable if the student maintains 12 credit hours with a 3.0 cumulative GPA each semester and completes 75 hours of service.
All Tennessee Academic Team Scholarship
| $4,000 per year | 3.0 community college GPA after sophomore year or 60+ hours |
Two Phi Theta Kappa winners chosen by their Tennessee Board of Regents Community College to be their designated selection for the All Tennessee Academic team will receive a scholarship from Tennessee Tech University. The scholarship is renewable if the student maintains 12 credit hours with a 3.0 cumulative GPA each semester and completes 75 hours of service.
Leadership Scholarship

This scholarship will be awarded to a limited number of transfer students who have demonstrated outstanding leadership potential.
All students who apply for scholarships by December 15, 2011 will be considered for scholarships through the department of their major. Departments award scholarships to new, transfer, and currently enrolled students who have demonstrated leadership in the classroom and in their major. These awards are for various amounts and are based on different criteria. For more information on departmental scholarships, do a search using ScholarWeb or contact the department of your major.
The Honors Program requires out-of-state students who wish to apply for the Honors Academic Scholarship (HAS) to complete the Honors Academic Scholarship Application in addition to the New or Currently Enrolled Student Scholarship Application.
