New Student Admissions Scholarships

All students who apply for admission and scholarships by December 15, 2013 will be considered for the following Admissions Scholarships for 2014-2015. Students may only receive one Admissions Scholarship.

University Academic Service Scholarship

$5,000 per year 31-36 ACT (1360-1600 SAT) 3.90-4.00 GPA
$5,000 per year 31-36 ACT (1360-1600 SAT) 3.75-3.89 GPA
$5,000 per year 28-30 ACT (1250-1350 SAT) 3.90-4.00 GPA
$4,000 per year 28-30 ACT (1250-1350 SAT) 3.75-3.89 GPA
$3,500 per year 28-36 ACT (1250-1600 SAT) 3.50-3.74 GPA

This scholarship is for incoming freshmen who just graduated from a Tennessee high school and is renewable for three additional years if the student maintains 12 credit hours each semester with a 3.00 cumulative GPA and completes 75 hours of university service. The student must be a Tennessee resident.

Vice Presidents' Scholarship (Residential Scholarship)

$3,000 per year 26-27 ACT (1170-1240 SAT) 3.50-4.00 GPA

This scholarship is for incoming freshmen who just graduated from a Tennessee high school and is renewable for three additional years as long as the student maintains 12 credit hours each semester with a 3.00 cumulative GPA and completes 75 hours of university service each semester. This scholarship is applied to a student's residence hall fees and is only renewable if the student continues to live in a residence hall. The student must be a Tennessee resident. A limited number of these scholarships will be awarded.

Admissions Academic Scholarship

$1,500 per year 26-27 ACT (1170-1240 SAT) 3.50-4.00 GPA
$1,000 per year 24-25 ACT (1090-1160 SAT) 3.80-4.00 GPA

This scholarship is for incoming freshmen who just graduated from a Tennessee high school and is renewable for three additional years as long as the student maintains 12 credit hours each semester with a 3.00 cumulative GPA. The student must be a Tennessee resident. A limited number of these scholarships will be awarded.

Alumni Legacy Scholarship (In State)

$1,000 per year 24-27 ACT (1090-1160 SAT) 3.50-4.00 GPA

This scholarship is for incoming freshmen whose parent, grandparent, or step-parent graduated from TTU. It is renewable for three additional years if the student maintains 12 credit hours each semester with a 3.00 cumulative GPA. This scholarship cannot be stacked with the Vice President's Scholarship or the University Academic Service Scholarship.  A limited number of these scholarships will be awarded.

Alumni Legacy Scholarship (Out of State)

$6,000 per year 23-36 ACT (1050-1600 SAT) 3.20-4.00 GPA

This scholarship is for incoming freshmen whose parent, grandparent, or step-parent graduated from TTU. It is renewable for three additional years if the student maintains 12 credit hours each semester with a 3.00 cumulative GPA. This scholarship cannot be stacked with the Honors Academic Scholarship. A limited number of these scholarships will be awarded.

Soaring Eagle Scholarship

$8,000 per year 26-36 ACT (1170-1600 SAT) 3.50-4.00 GPA

This scholarship is for incoming freshmen from out of state and is renewable as long as students maintains 12 credit hours each semester with a 3.00 cumulative GPA. This scholarship cannot be stacked with the Honors Academic Scholarship. A limited number of these scholarships will be awarded.

Golden Eagle Excellence Scholarship

$2,500 per year

These competitive scholarships are awarded to incoming freshmen Tennessee high school graduates to increase academic quality and diversity which enriches the educational experience and promotes quality education for our campus. These awards are made to underrepresented groups as defined in our Scholarship Recruitment Plan. They are renewable for three additional years if the student maintains 12 credit hours each semester with a 2.50 cumulative GPA. Leadership Scholarship

$1,000 one year only

This scholarship will be awarded to a limited number of entering freshmen who have demonstrated outstanding leadership potential.

Transfer Student Admissions Scholarships

All students who apply for admission and scholarships by December 15, 2013 will be considered for the following Admissions Scholarships for 2014-2015. These scholarships are guaranteed only to the extent that necessary funding is available. Students may only receive one Admissions Scholarship.

Community College Transfer Scholarship

$3,000 per year 3.5 community college GPA

This scholarship is awarded to students who have completed a significant amount of coursework at a Tennessee community college with at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA. It is renewable if the student maintains 12 credit hours each semester with a 3.00 cumulative GPA and completes 75 hours of service. A limited number of these scholarsips will be awarded.

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship

$3,000 per year 3.5 community college GPA

Tennessee Tech offers scholarships to students who are members of Phi Theta Kappa. A letter of recommendation from a Phi Theta Kappa advisor is required for scholarship consideration. Students must have a minimum 3.5 GPA. The scholarship is renewable if the student maintains 12 credit hours with a 3.00 cumulative GPA each semester and completes 75 hours of service. A limited number of these scholarships will be awarded. This scholarship cannot be stacked with the Community College Transfer Scholarship.

All Tennessee Academic Team Scholarship

$4,000 per year 3.0 community college GPA after sophomore year or 60+ hours

The 2 Phi Theta Kappa winners chosen by their Tennessee Board of Regents Community College to be their designated selection for the All Tennessee Academic team will receive a scholarship from Tennessee Tech University. The scholarship is renewable if the student maintains 12 credit hours with a 3.00 cumulative GPA each semester and completes 75 hours of service. This scholarship cannot be stacked with the Community College Transfer Scholarship.

Leadership Scholarship

$1,000 one year only

This scholarship will be awarded to a limited number of transfer students who have demonstrated outstanding leadership potential.

Departmental Scholarships for New, Transfer, and Currently Enrolled Students

All students who apply for scholarships by December 15, 2013 will be considered for scholarships through the department of their major. Departments award scholarships to new, transfer, and currently enrolled students who have demonstrated leadership in the classroom and in their major. These awards are for various amounts and are based on different criteria. Honors Program Scholarships

The Honors Program requires out-of-state students who wish to apply for the Honors Academic Scholarship (HAS) to complete the Honors Academic Scholarship Application in addition to the TTU Scholarship Application. For more information on the HAS and to access the application, visit the Honors Academic Scholarship Website. Please note the HAS is for out-of-state students only. The HAS Application for 2014/2015 will be available beginning September 1, 2013, and the deadline to submit the application is August 1, 2014.

Music Scholarships

The Music Department requires students to complete the Music Scholarship application process in addition to submitting the TTU Scholarship Application via ScholarWeb. All forms required by the Music Department should be submitted directly to the Music Department, PO Box 5045, Cookeville, TN, 38505.
