TTU Scholarships

The scholarship application is available annually from August 15 to December 15.  The deadline to apply for scholarships for 2012-2013 was December 15.  The scholarship application will reopen on August 15, 2012 and you will then be able to apply for scholarships for 2013-2014.

New Students

You are considered a New Student for scholarship purposes if you have applied for admission to begin classes at TTU Fall 2012/Spring 2013.  This includes incoming freshmen and transfer students.

You must apply for admission before applying for scholarships.  Once you have applied for admission, you will receive a letter from the Office of Admissions containing your Tennessee Tech ID Number (T Number).  You will use this number to apply for scholarships online.  If you have applied for admission but have not yet received your T Number, you can may view it on Eagle Online.  Or, you may use the admissions username that you created when you applied online for admission.  To apply for scholarships, first read the step-by-step instructions under Application Procedures. Then apply online using ScholarWeb.  If you wish to preview the questions before beginning the application, or if you wish to fill out the paper scholarship application instead of the online application, you may access this on the Forms page.  You do not have to be admitted in order to apply for scholarships.

 Current Students

You are considered a Current Student for scholarship purposes if you currently attend TTU or will attend TTU prior to Fall 2012.  This includes new freshmen and transfer students beginning classes Fall 2011 or Spring 2012.

We encourage currently enrolled students to apply for scholarships each year.  Even if you are already receiving a scholarship, there may be additional scholarship opportunities for you.  If you are currently receiving a renewable departmental scholarship, you must apply for scholarships each year to continue receiving it.  To apply for scholarships, first read the step-by-step instructions under Application Procedures. Then apply online using ScholarWeb. If you wish to preview the questions before beginning the application, or if you wish to fill out the paper scholarship application instead of the online application, you may access this on the Forms page.

Applying for Scholarships Online
Once you begin the online scholarship application, you must complete it.  You will not be able to log back in later to view it or make changes, so be sure to allow sufficient time to complete it before you begin.  The application will take approximately 30 minutes to complete.

The scholarship application must be submitted to the Scholarship Office by December 15, 2011.  (When mailing the application, it must be postmarked by December 15, 2011.) Supporting materials (letters of recommendation, financial aid estimate forms, departmental pages, etc.) must be submitted by January 15, 2012.  If you are a new student, transcripts and ACT scores are also due by January 15, 2012 to the Office of Admissions.

ScholarWeb
Apply for scholarships online using ScholarWeb.  The annual application period is from August 15-December 15. You may also use ScholarWeb to see what scholarships you may be eligible for, and which scholarships require additional documents. Within ScholarWeb, you can do a "guest search" where you enter your academic information (major, ACT score, grade point average, etc), and ScholarWeb will narrow down the scholarships for which you may be eligible.  ScholarWeb also lists the criteria for each scholarship.  If you wish to view a complete list of the over 450 different scholarships that we offer, simply do a search and leave all the criteria fields blank.
