First-Year Orientation (SOAR)
As a new college freshman, you might be asking, "How will I know who my advisor is?", "Where will my classes be?", "What will my classes be for the Fall?", and a multitude of others. The Office of Orientation and Student Success has created SOAR (Student Orientation, Advisement, & Registration) for recent high school graduates to ease their transition into college life at Tennessee Tech. SOAR allows these students to learn more about Tennessee Tech, meet their advisor and new friends, register for classes, and start your college career.
Each SOAR session is a two-day program allowing students to find answers to all of their questions while becoming familiar with the campus. To receive an invitation for SOAR, students need to be admitted to Tennessee Tech University for the Fall 2014 semester.
We are excited that you've chosen Tennessee Tech as your college family!
Meet your classmates on Facebook
If you are an incoming TTU Freshman, logon to Facebook and join the conversation with your future classmates, admission representatives, and SOAs (Student Orientation Assistants). Here you can talk about your major, residence hall assignments, or ask questions about your upcoming year at Tech.
