What is your favorite thing about TTU?
My favorite thing about TTU is the fact that I can walk anywhere on campus and see people I know. You get the feeling of a large university with the connection to people you would get at a small school.
What is your most memorable TTU experience so far?
Growing close to all my friends throughout freshman year to where we could plan an epic spring break trip for spring 2011!
How did you choose your major?
I always thought I wanted to be a chef and I love science as well. Working as a chef’s assistant proved to be a lifestyle choice I did not want to have, so I decided to combine my love for cooking and science into a nutrition major.
What is your favorite meal at TTU?
The caf! There’s no place on earth you can go and enjoy a fresh pizza, sub sandwich, and bowl of rice krispies in the same place!
Advice for incoming college freshman from your experience so far?
Get out of your room! Get out around campus and get involved, you can make the college experience what you want it to be.
What is your favorite TTU Tradition and why?
The Blizzard! I love basketball and getting to see the arena coated in toilet paper makes it even better.
What kind of extracurricular activities are you involved in on campus and in the community?
I am part of the Food, Nutition and Dietetics Club, I am an SAR, and I am a member of Colonial Heights Church of Christ here in Cookeville.
What was your biggest mistake as a freshman? What did you learn from that experience?
Letting the freedom of living away from home and by myself get to my head.
What is your favorite book?
The Eragon series is my favorite book.
