My absolute favorite thing about TTU is the size of the school. It’s perfect! Tech has that homey feeling, without making you feel that the campus is so small you know everyone.
My most memorable experience so far at Tech was definitely this year’s homecoming events. There are so many activities to do homecoming week – floats, pep rally, games, banner. It’s really great for the campus to come together for a week and show our Tech Pride!
I have known that I wanted to be a nurse for quite some time now. I am passionate about helping and caring for other people, so I believe that nursing will be the perfect career for me and allow me to do that on a daily basis.
Tomato Soup in the Cafeteria!
Get your priorities straight! College is such an exciting time, with so many new opportunities and activities to get involved in. But, we all have to remember why we’re here – to get an education! Find a good balance between time spent studying and time spent having fun.
My favorite Tech Tradition is all of the Week of Welcome events. There is so many fun activities going on the first weeks of school. You always have something to do and people to hang out with!
I am on the executive board of my sorority. I am also involved in a few other clubs on campus – Tech Activities Board (TAB), Future Alumni Support Team (FAST), and the Student Nursing Association.
My biggest mistake as a freshman was allowing myself to get stressed out. I had to learn to take things in stride and not get stressed out when every little thing did not go as I anticipated. I also learned that having something I can do to relieve my stress is necessary!
I am absolutely obsessed with anything and everything Harry Potter!
