Artists in Residence exchange
Join us for a day of craft demonstrations, artist lectures and a special exhibition and reception as the Appalachian Center for Craft hosts the Arrowmont Artists in Residence Saturday, April 20.
This is a great chance to meet the artists, learn about Tennessee’s leading craft schools and discuss post-baccalaureate and post-graduate opportunities. All events are free and open to the public.
Studio demonstrations are 9 a.m. to noon and 1:30-3 p.m., followed by artist lectures from 4-5:30 p.m. Demonstrations include Ashley Gilreath, enameling techniques in metals; David Katz, ceramic handbuilding techniques; Jason Burnett, screen printing and transfer on clay; Heather Ashworth, bent wood lamination; and Erin Castellan, fabric painting and collage processes.
Meet all of the Craft Center residents, including Amanda Ross, Linda Tien, Bryce Brisco, Jason York, Chad Cully and Ellie Richards.
