‘Cabaret’ opens at TTU Backdoor Playhouse Nov. 8

The autumn production at the Backdoor Playhouse, Cabaret, will open Nov. 8. Performances will be at 8 p.m. Nov. 8-10, 12-13 and 16-17. It will also be staged at 10 p.m. Nov. 15 and 2 p.m. Nov. 17.

The book was written by Christopher Isherwood, the music by John Kander and the lyrics by Fred Ebb.

Student Adam Combs directed the show, with music direction by Mendy Richards. It features choreography by Stage One Dance studio owner Jennifer Dotson-Creter.

Tickets are $12 general admission, $10 senior citizens and $5 for non-Tech students. Tech students get in free with their ID.

This production is sponsored by the TTU Centerstage Series in cooperation with the English and communications department and the Tech Players drama club.

This production contains adult situations and language that may be objectionable to some audiences.
