General Education Award for Outstanding Teaching nominations sought

Nominations are being accepted for the 2011-12 General Education Award for Outstanding Teaching.

This award recognizes outstanding teaching in general education courses at the 1000- and 2000-level that fulfill general education requirements in Communication, History, Humanities/Fine Arts, Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Social/Behavioral Sciences.

Any student, faculty member, administrator or recent graduate may nominate an outstanding teacher of general-education courses by submitting a letter of nomination to the General Education Awards Committee by Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011. An eligible nominee is any full- or part-time faculty member, instructor or graduate teaching assistant who has taught general education courses at TTU for at least the past two full semesters (excluding summer).

Each nominee will be contacted to submit additional application materials. Each of the two winners will receive a cash award of $1000 and a plaque.
