Re: Open Enrollment/Annual Transfer Period – Health Insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts and Other Benefits

 

If you are uncertain if you are a benefit-eligible employee, please check with your departmental secretary.

State of Tennessee Group Insurance Program is having an Open Enrollment for Health Insurance from 9/15/2010 through 10/15/2010. Health insurance is one of the most important employee benefits offered and it is very important that you understand the plan changes and your responsibility in continuing coverage.

The State Insurance Group is sending enrollment kits to the homes of all covered employees. If you are not currently enrolled in the health plan or do not receive your kit by 9/15, you can request a kit by calling 1-866-741-6464.

To assist in your understanding of the plan changes and your role, go to http://www.collegeofbusiness.info/openenrollment/.

There will also be employee meetings. See the website and Tech Times for places and times for the meetings and plan to attend. Please check the website and Tech Times often as we will continue to add updates.

All employees interested in health coverage through the state program MUST choose a health option and complete an enrollment form. If you do not select a health insurance option and you are currently enrolled, you will be enrolled automatically in the Standard PPO.

During this time period, participants can:

• Enroll in the Flexible Spending Accounts – PLEASE NOTE THE DEADLINE IS 10/15/10

• Enroll in Health coverage

• Add, cancel or transfer dental options

• Apply for or decrease optional term or universal life coverage

• Apply for Long Term Disability

• Enroll in optional special accident coverage

Because of the importance of this decision, please read your kit, browse our website and attend a meeting. We want you to make the very best decision for you and your family. If you have questions regarding the new plans, please call 1-866-741-6464.

We will accept forms starting on 9/15/2010. Incorrect forms, incomplete forms, or late forms will not be accepted.
