School Expeditions FAQs

Q: How much does it cost to bring a school group to the STEM Center?

  • $125 for a class of students (25-30)
  • $500 for a team of students (100-140)

Q: When do EXPEDITION programs take place?

  • EXPEDITION programming is scheduled on most Thursdays and Fridays in October and November during the fall 2010 semester.
  • More EXPEDITIONS opportunities are available in the spring semester.

Q: Do I have to renew my STEM User Group membership after the first session?   

  • Yes, annually, through other training opportunities available during the year in preparation for the next year's EXPEDITION topic.

Q: Do teachers have to attend STEM User Group Training to bring their students for an EXPEDITION?

  • Yes. Phase I of the EXPEDITION model offers teachers the opportunity to be introduced to and trained for using the STEM Center resources in order for them to lead the EXPEDITION activities with their students.
