The first Stonecipher Symposium on Technology,
Communication and Culture explored new multidisciplinary
approaches to technological and humanistic education, and focused on the
changing needs of university students in today's culture.
The
Stonecipher symposium brought students, faculty, administrators and
professionals together to gain a better grasp of the significance of
engineering as a profession, technology as a cultural force and the role that
humanities continue to play in an increasingly technological world.
