This year the Stonecipher Symposium proudly hosts prominent keynote speakers Mr. Daniel S. Goldin, NASA Administrator and Dr. Rhea Seddon, Assistant Chief Medical Officer of the Vanderbilt Medical Group and former NASA Astronaut. Presentations by authors Robert Zubrin, Andrew Chaikin and Howard McCurdy, whose works about the U.S. space program have been critically acclaimed, will also be featured. The symposium will include a panel discussion about research opportunities given by NASA representatives and TTU faculty members. The Space Transportation Directorate of NASA Marshall Space Flight Center will provide a panel discussion as well. Dr. Dale Quattrochi, Senior Scientist with NASA Global Hydrology and Climate Center, will deliver an address.
In its third year, the Stonecipher Symposium continues to bring together students, scholars and representatives from industry, media,
government and the community. The annual symposium is named for and partially funded by Harry Stonecipher, Chief Operating Officer of the Boeing Company and a physics graduate of Tennessee Tech University. His sponsorship is provided through the Terry Martin Stonecipher Fund for the Arts and Sciences, which he established in honor of his son.Keynote speakers
